How to Use Shilajit: Dosage, Timing and How Long It Takes

Shilajit is simple to use, but a few details make the difference between a good routine and a wasted jar: how much, when, and in what. This is the routine we recommend for our resin.

How much to take

Start small. In the first two weeks, take a portion about the size of a grain of rice (100 to 150 mg). From week three, move up to roughly a pea-sized portion (250 to 300 mg).

When to take it

Once a day, in the morning, on an empty stomach and about 30 minutes before breakfast, is the most common routine. Taking it at the same time each day makes it easier to stay consistent, which matters more than the exact hour.

What to dissolve it in

Dissolve the portion fully in warm, not hot, water. High heat can degrade fulvic acid, so let a kettle cool for a few minutes first. Stir until no resin is visible. Many people also stir it into warm milk or herbal tea.

Quality resin is soft and stretchy at room temperature. Use a clean spoon, not wet fingers.

How long before you notice anything

Be wary of anyone promising results in days. Shilajit is a daily supplement, not a stimulant, and responses vary from person to person. We recommend giving it at least 90 days of consistent daily use before deciding whether it works for you, which is why we offer a 90-Day Protocol.

Practical tips

  • Use a clean, dry spoon each time so moisture does not enter the jar.
  • Store it sealed, out of direct sunlight and heat.
  • Do not take more because you feel nothing yet. More is not better.
  • Pause and ask a doctor if you take medication or have a medical condition (see our safety guide).
